Thread: Geo. Wostenholm & Son's Celebrated IXL Washington Works Wedge – 7/8”, Awesome Scales

Here for sale is one of my favourites – a 7/8” Wostenholm wedge ‘Washington Works’ razor with amazing original horn scales and large domed pins.

I received this razor with very dry scales and brought them back to life with a neat’s-foot oil soak. Honed by me on a Naniwa progression to shave ready (a couple of years back) – shaves very well but of course I am no honemeister so your mileage may vary. Bevels are relatively small for a wedge and quite even overall.

This heavy wedge has a nice satin sheen and a patina of age that compliments it better than any high polish or regrind could ever do in my opinion.
