    Default Affordable J.A. Henckels "Verdi" Shave Ready

    Here is a nice Henckels "Verdi"
    Razor is unrestored, and dressed in cheap white plastic scales. An entry level razor giving a close, smooth, comfortable shave.

    Blade is clean and shining, contrary to how it appears in my crappy photographs!
    5/8" square point, with nice jimping on the underside of the tang. Manufactured for the National Barber Supply Co.
    Closes clean, but I would guide it closed to stay on the safe side.

    Freshly honed on the Norton 1-4-8, and finished on a Nani 12k and then an Asagi Shobu Jnat. Stropped on linen and Leather, ready for you to put in rotation.

    The B/S/T has been light on low cost blades recently, so I will be putting a few " 50 and under" over the next few days.

    This is a great basic shaver, and a good candidate for a restoration and a nice new set of scales

    VERDI TEXAS SCHOOL

    The last classes in the Verdi School were in 1954 and the school no longer exists. I walked a mile each way to attend grades one through three in this school so obviously need this razor. A Historical Marker and the Verdi Community Center now occupy this location.
    I may not be as old as dirt, but I do remember when the Dead Sea first begin to feel ill!
