Default Bingham Tally-Ho Frameback razor with Dutch sterling silver scales

Offered is a nice CT Bingham 'Late F Fenney' Tally-Ho frameback in the 'faux frameback' style in some lovely sterling silver scales of Dutch origin.
A complete, albeit light blade etch proclaims 'Improved Patent Frameback Tally-Ho Made Expressly for the United States' with the Running Fox logo and fancy adornment.

CT Bingham acquired the Tally-Ho name in 1852 after the death of F Fenney, who established the trademark in 1833.
It was sometimes common for those who garnered a good name to use it before theirs as 'late' to establish quality. Since Bingham ceased in 1863 I can assume this razor was made between 1852-1863.

The blade is a bit shy of 7/8 at the widest point with top jimps and a jimped thumb notch under. and has not been sanded, nor ground upon. Light stains and pits are present, yet minimal.

The scales are Dutch made and are in fine condition. The maker is unknown by the hallmarks, yet they were assayed in Steenwijk. The date code is hard to figure by the hallmarks as Dutch hallmarks are not as clearly established as others. The closest match I found was 1896 and even that was not exact. Export scales, for certain.
Thin and light, they go well with this blade as it has the same attributes.
The pivot is very tight and blade closes perfectly between the scales.

Nice collectible and shaveable razor. Shiny!
Comes with a nice, soft suede drawstring pouch and a fine shaving edge.

400.00 shipped Conus. Paypal F&F, Postal Money Order, Cleared personal check, or.....CASH!

It looks much nicer than my pics. Just too shiny!

Yeah..You see the old movies and such with the maids wearing the white gloves.
Dirty hands will scratch. I don't get carried away with it, though. Renwax helps.
I rather enjoy the dark patina in the recesses myself.
