Thanked: 98Koraat Esbjerg 6/8 French Tip Full Hollow
Well, with under a week to the next baby's due date my wife has said no more. The max capacity of my razor storage has been hit and she has demanded reduction. After a long series of painful discussions, a group of straights will not stay the purge (I have been limited to 4 rolls of 7 straights so stay tuned for a few nice things to hit). Up first is the only Koraat I don't keep in my 7-day roll of them. It is still a regular user for me and is therefore tough to let go. The reason it didn't make the final cut is simply that it is the smallest blade in the potential line up and I think a new happy home is better for it.
There is no question to the quality of Ulrik's work and is often said to be the best or at least one of the best out there. As stated it is a 6/8 (though I think feels closer to 7/8) French tip. This is dressed in a really nice ebony and has all the nice rivets and spacers expected. The spine is slightly worked. It does have the Esbjerg logo as this was made originally for their shop (but certainly not a large production item). Original retail on this would have been €298+ or about $335+ US dollars.
There is some extremely minor water spotting (should be visible in the photos) that will clean easily and quickly. There is no rust and absolutely nothing wrong with the razor overall. It closes dead on center and is tight but swings easily.
Due to my laziness to clean the water spots, I am discounting this blade to $250 US dollars and probably no less (let's be honest I'm ok keeping it in my hands). I could have Ulrik give the blade once over (effectively new then) at whatever charge he wants and can be negotiated to final pricing, but this is buyers choice. Shipping will be added on top of this depending on destination. A note on shipping currently Austrian post only allows a 3cm thick envelope for bubble mailers at that rate. This means if you want the item to ship for $5 you will, unfortunately, have to say goodbye to the original box. On average shipping with the box will, again, unfortunately, cost about $20. Payment by PayPal preferred.
Please feel free to ask any questions via the post or by way of PM. I am happy to post additional photos if deemed helpful. Most likely not accepting trades. Though currently no statements about my growing strop collection have been made (J/K).

I like it very much, I like ebony and have an TI with ebony scales but it is darker, almost black, and the grain is not as pronounced as this. I love the details on this and look forward to completing the purchase......I fear my new found joy may turn into an obsession....now to find someone who can teach me to strop properly and hopefully hone in the future

Thanked: 98The payment for this item has posted and all terms of refreshing the blade negotiated. I will leave this thread open for the buyer should they need a public forum and for the seller to show the refurbishment photos (these items were decided as part of sale). Thanks for looking and thanks SRP for running a good platform for sales.

Thanked: 98The item has been received back from Ulrik. To be honest it is even nicer after this refresh than I remember it being when I got it. Looking forward to hearing how the new owners first shave goes. It is on the way to Scotland and I am now marking this thread as complely sold.
