Manufactured 1891-1924. First razor, back of blade straight with round point and double shoulder. Tip reshaped due to chip. Blade measures approximately 3 x ⅝. On one side of the shank "105 - BLUE DIAMOND - Trade 'logo' Mark", other side "S. R. DROESCHER - GARWOOD, N.J. - MADE IN GERMANY - 105". On gang "SRD with Arrow thru letters". Blade cleaned, polished and honed shave ready. Light staining here and there. Cream pearlized celluloid 3 pin scales with silver bolsters and silver logo inlay cleaned and polished. Second razor, back of blade straight with square point and double shoulder. Blade measures approximately 3 x ⅝. On one side of shank "GOLD BUG - REG. IN PAT. OFF.", on other side "S. R. DROESCHER INC. - NEW YORK, NY". Blade cleaned, polished and honed shave ready. Light staining here and there. Carmel color celluloid scales cleaned and polished.


Light coat of oil for protection on blade. Please look at photos as they are best description.

Honing: One layer of electrical tape on spine. Bevel set on 600 grit diamond hone. Then 6000 water stone and finished on 12,000 oil stone, then 20K Jasper water stone. Then stropped on canvas with diamond paste and then leather and disinfected. A $18.00 VALUE FREE

I personally test shave each razor before final disinfection. Shave ready is different to each person. Factors like light or coarse beard or beard length come into play. I have a heavy beard and test shave every razor on a two day growth. If razor gives a close comfortable shave I call it shave ready. If it does not shave right I re-hone the razor.
