Thread: Radium French frameback with spare blade horn scales inlaid with ivory

A great Frameback there was damage to the tail on this but I have smoothed it out, the scales where originally damaged cracked at the pivot and some small gouges, I will put a separate post, with the before pics as they are on my phone and I usually upload pics via my laptop,
The scales where sanded and polished and inlaid with vintage Ivory and an Ivory spacer was used also, (I had a set of badly damaged ivory scales that where the ideal candidate for this project, I decided to restore a razor with the absolute minimum amount of waste going to land fill
Both blades are shave ready finished on a coti stropped and ready to use
The blade does centre slightly off centre and it did before it was restored, but as I say its only slightly now compared to before, just be careful when closing and this is no problem at all, and this tiny issue is more than reflected in the price for the amount of work that has gone in to this, like I said it was a project.
