    Default Bartmann 5/8 #86

Stunning full hollow Bartmann in 5/8. Excellent condition, slightfading of gold wash on spine. Only a few very faint traces of oxidation. A nimble and excellent shaver.

Scales are celluloid in a butterscotch colour with silver inlay with no warping. Blade sits tight and centred and the gold etching on the blade is crisp and intact.

Shave-ready(coticule honed), shave tested , disinfected in barbicide and lightly coated in mineral oil. Comes with its original plastic pouch.

Asking 165$ USD shipped with tracking(conus and Canada)

    Please inquire for international shipping.

    Due to covid expect delays.

Whew!! I havent been on the forum more than 2 times in the last 4 months as other things took up almost all my free time... And first thing i open is this!!?? Said it on a number of occasions that my Bartmann does not take a inch back from any production razor i have ever had.. Super razors! Fully know at present time $165 seems and is a lot of $$ in current time compared to a year ago... From pics looks to be in great shape
... If you're someone who's somewhat new and knows SR is for you this would be a great pick up to start or add to a higher quality collection.. Sorry Badgister for such a long response on your B/S/T but huge fan of the company think its just begging for a new home..
    Peace, Scott

Ha!! Thats funny because as i was greasing, liubing and spit shining her to maybe get someone to take her i found myself as the one to get it.. Had to stop my fingers on the keyboard.. I still think its the perfect 1st SR for your 1st collection.. I put them in the same class as Fili,Puma 81's and 91's, Heljestrand 32's and a few others... Try finding any of those in very good condition for mid $100's.. Good luck because just in the last 3yrs those that i just mentionef have doubled in price and i would expect them all to keep going up...
And if not in a hurry to sell someone should come along and buy it.. Hell i bought a Mappin n Webb off here that was over a year old and never thought he would still have it but he did. Anyway i do hope it sells for you sooner rather then later..
    Take care

Indeed the Bartmann razors are absolutely top of the notch of vintage Solingen razors. I got a bunch of them in my personal collection and also min. 2 of the 86 model. Perfect Solingen hollow girnd, very thin blade.
So if anyone is looking for a great vinatge Solingen shaver and - looking at the pictures - in that nearly perfect condition - you should grab this one before Zayid is changing his mind and is stepping back from the sale.
It is a real bargain- I wouldn't let mine go for that price...
    Regards Peter
