This razor’s origin is shrouded in mystery. It was made in Sweden for the Edward Zinn Co., New York, a distributor. A friend did some research on the razor’s background and discovered that it was made by the legendary Swedish razor maker John Engstrom. Stylistically, it bears all the signs of the Engstrom’s other works. It’s a fabulous razor, near mint, and a sweet shaver. It also shave ready. It’s also a gorgeous razor. Thanks, John. With some health issues, my straight razor days are slowly waning. That’s why my SOTDs are mostly with safety razors. As for this razor, yes, it’s a sweet one, and awfully pretty.

They are not wood. Acrylic, maybe, vulcanite or plastic. They are gorgeous.
