13/16 Wade & Butcher 'For Barbers Only' with barber notch. On tang it reads "Manufactured By Wade & Butcher", and 'For Barbers Only'. The blade has minimum hone wear, a little bit of staining, very little light pitting, in pretty good condition for a razor that is over 100 years old. She is scary sharp and gives a nice smooth comfortable shave. Scales are Bocote finished with Formbys Tung Oil, spacer is lead, pins are brass with Bullseye washers.

Bevel was set on a Chosera 1k then honed on a Naniwa 2k 'Green Brick of Joy' and finished on a Select Coticule. Razor was then stropped on Chomium Oxide pasted paddle strop, Ferrous Oxide pasted paddle strop and finished on SRD poly-web/leather strop.

Razor is shave ready by my standards, yours may vary. I have a fairly tough beard and shave with every razor before selling. If it doesn't give a smooth comfortable irritation free shave it goes back to the hones.

Will consider trading this 13/16 Wade & Butcher For Barbers Only razor plus ? for a replica .36 cal. but prefer a .44 cal. 1851 Colt Navy/Army (prefer a Navy) revolver and would prefer steel frame. It doesn't have to be pretty or perfect, if it needs re-bluing or grips need refinishing no problem, it just needs to be in good working order as I plan on shooting it often. I love the smell of black powder....anytime!!
