hmmm... checked the JATAI site (US Feather distributor ?)... looks like something more suitable to trimming around the ears, neck, maybe mustache area.

Joe-
You're correct - the razor that you linked to is for trimming necks, etc. Feather also makes a line of wire-guarded blades (called Pro-Guards) for the Artist Club razor line, which, as I'm sure you are aware, is their replaceable blade straight razor for face shaving.

The thing that got me off track was that the original ad I saw implied the razor was useful as an alternative to the Artist club... upon further investigation, clearly it's not. And the blade picture made it look like a comb razor... I'm still confused by that.

When I was researching feathers (originally wanted one) I ran into this balde also. It's meant for hair shaping as done by a barber. there is one site that claims that some people use it as a starter, but i'm not sure if that is truthful.

I wasn't referring to their products for razor cutting hair. I was talking about the products I referenced in my earlier post (http://straightrazorpalace.com/showp...28&postcount=4)
They're calling it a "Nape and Body Razor". As I (now) understand it, this is a small (ie, shorter) razor which uses a blade similar to the pro guard blade for the Artist Club. But their picture of the refill blade is confusing, at best.
