You are correct. I have been using a straight for over 15 years. Guess that I forgot that I started with razors that I found at garage sales very cheap. Actually my favorite was a Puma until the full hollow ground blade cracked. I was heartbroken.

The soap and brush set at Wal-Mart are awesome. I bought the set and was impressed. The brush that comes in the set is real thick and made of badger hair, the soap is good quality, do highly recommend. The brand name is Van Der Hagen, go for it.
