Thread: So is it rare?

Okay. Have a chance to pick this razor up, the guy I am getting it from says its a very very rare Schlieper razor 3 eye? What do y'all think? how rare is the razor ?

Rare to see a thread started about a razor in the "Post Shave Treatment" forum. I'm moving this to razors forum.

Eye brand is well known in pocket knives. I've seen some razors but I would do a search on ebay , active and completed items to see what comes up. Not sure if the razor is 'rare' on not.

One of my fav brands. Not rare, they do pop up every so often on the bay, especially the German bay. Take a look at the revisor site, I think its owner is a member here.

More uncommon than rare. They are very high end razors. I've never seen one with 3 eyes. I'm not sure what that is about.

I had one of those before, the gold wash was different.
How rare it is is hard to tell as we have no idea how many are out there.

Could not say how rare that razor is but it should be a good shaver. I have one 6/8 that has the single eye, 2 pin plain scales and gold wash that says "high Class". My guess is the one you are looking at is older having 3 pins, 3 eyes and inlay on the scales.

Thanks for the help guys ! He is wanting to tried me two boker 1056 in good shape and maybe this one for my dubl duck Grim reaper with one cracks scale because he has a set of Replacement scales for it! So I guess we will see what he says
