Default My TI 5/8 Eagle Snakewood & TI 6/8 Spartacus

Greetings Friends - figured I'd post a pic of my two razors that I have not yet used. I'm at about shave 50, had to send my 5/8 DOVO off for polishing and re-homing after waging chemical warfare on it over some grey cloudy spots.

Idea is - when I've done 100 shaves and figure I've got the one razor down fairly pat, then I will expand. Ofcourse, won't do that until I can keep the darn things clean!!

Here's the TI's, 5/8 Eagle Snakewood and the TI 6/8 Spartacus with faux MOP scales:

Hopefully your Dovo will polish out. We all learn some care and use of a striaght razor lessons the hard way. Your TI's are good looking straights. Did you purchase them shave ready? If not you may want to send them out while you are waiting on
the return of your Dovo. Straight shaving world will all come together for you so please continue asking questions of the members.

    Thanks!

Yes - they were, "shave ready", from, "Classic Edge Shaving", great shop here in Ontario!

Just passed shave 50 till I whacked my DOVO...got 3 razors from a yard sale, going to send them out as well for polishing and honing...although the Ibbertson seems shave ready to me.

    Cheers!

Great. If Phil honed them they are shave ready. Enjoy and let us know when your Dovo comes home.

    You got it bad, brother.

At least it was just the Dovo you burned.
One time, in band camp, I shaved with a Gold Dollar razor.

Haha - don't think I'm at, "Jack's" level, loved his chronicle of shaving, honing, etc....

Had the Eagle for months, and got the Spartacus because I heard that after the MOP scales were gone, that was it...so got that about 6 weeks ago.

Was lucky the other day at the yard sale, 3 nice razors for $40 Cdn....that will be it for me for now...except of course if the DOVO 6/8 Bismark finally becomes available at the Classic Shaving Edge....and probably won't use that either!!

I wonder, is the a SR affliction that affects being overly leery of using new razors '-)??
