Size: 29.8 KB just swiped this one on an ebay auction for a reasonable bid. It would be interesting to know a bit of background/history , I have googled and searched but not come up with anything about the "L. Gardet of Paris Le Prevoyant A la Levrette #680"

Nice looking frameback, there a few reference to a Gardet (coutelier) in France around 1876.

I don't think L. Gardet was necessarily a cutler, as there was an L. Gardet perfume house in Paris in the 1900s :

The bill of sale is dated 1928, but the foundation date of the company looks to be 1889. Obviously, barber shops were supplied, so they might very well have had razors stamped-up for them.

They launched a fair few fragrances and are listed in the perfume encyclopaedia.

    Why yes, I am Martin!

People often remark about the aroma of brandy and cigar smoke coming off me, don't ya know?!
