    Default New Acquistiions: Part II

Met another local guy who had a massive collection of razors... Said he didn't even bring them all to show me. Literally hundreds. It was pretty great sitting down and looking at all of them with him.

Anyway, here's what I picked up:

The two paddle strops he gave to me. The case is marked Wade and Butcher. From left to right is a 7/8 wedge Wade and Butcher (my dream razor, second one I've picked up here lately!), a FULL INCH Joseph Elliot blade only (wedge, sucker is HEAVIEST blade I've ever held). In the middle from top down: 5/8 Lee Mfg Co Germany, 5/8 faded marked Wade and Butcher, 5/8 Boetcher-Kellogg Co Germany, 5/8 Dubl Duck Dwarf, 5/8 Lafayette Cutlery Co Germany, 4/8 Crown Razor Boston Mass, 4/8 AJ Jordan Sheffield Celebrated Hollow Ground. Then on the far right I have two that the blades are shot on- Union Cutlery and Bob Clark. The two loose blades are 335 Noneta and Continental Cutlery. I plan on trying to fit the good scales on the good loose blades. Now... Where to find big scales for the incher Joseph Elliot???

Aah, I'm jealous. That looks like one fine acquisition! And the scales... nothing like making those yourself.

I haven't progressed as far as making my own scales, but I do hope to eventually. The scales on the two razors with shot blades are so nice I have to pair them with the loose blades, if at all possible (I know it depends on fitment). It'd be a shame not to...

Annnnnnnnnnd my wife just told me how much her school is going to cost and is mad that I bought these. Looks like I'll have to sell them, or at least most of them. So bummed. If any of you want something in particular, feel free to PM me... Also check my other Acquisitions thread too...

Aw damn, that's painful! But maybe you can make a little profit when selling them separately? I wish I could justify buying your Doubl Ducks, but with 8 razors on their way to my home and my bank account, well... *cough*
