bouschie, I agree with what you are saying which is why I asked. However I was looking at the Dovo Best Quality which is even cheaper that a Ralf Aust Model 1402.

Yeah SRD has the Dovo 5/8" in stock. Already honed and for that price it's quite a deal.
Like others have said, it's all about preference. Absolutely nothing wrong with that Best Quality.I love living in the past...

I think I spoke too soon. The Ralf Aust Model 1402 has Jipping. The best quality doesn't..... We may have a winner lol! Thanks for the feedback Bouschie!
