You can post pictures here to the forum, and as a general rule, pictures greatly help those of us who can answer questions about razors.

A cursory search turns up many, many Phil Eisemann razors. It seems that he was a barber who sold many German made razors with his name on them around the beginning of the 20th century. It's certainly possible that the razor has carved ivory scales, but that would indeed make it very uncommon. However, at the time, many razors were sold with French ivory scales with figural designs. French ivory is, in fact, plastic (celluloid, to be precise).

Welcome to SRP. If you can post a photo of the razor more members can help you out. I deleted your email address because spam bots harvest email addresses and you might have ended up with a lot more in your inbox than you bargained for.

To post a photo go below the text box (when you post again) and you'll see "manage attachments" Click on that and when the pop up comes up look in the upper right and click 'basic uploader'. Follow the prompts and you can upload from your PC files.

I was told if I heated a pin and put it to the scales and it don't burn or leave ash or residue wich it didn't it was ivory and the carvings look as if they were done by hand it's a very nice razor but I can't figure out how to post pics on this I'm on an iPad so if someone can email me I will send you the pics email me at
