Default Late to the party, but finally got a Wapi

French point, 1/4 grind, NOS with a decorated spine...

I know I paid more than I should have, but man, I think it was worth it. It honed up so easily it was ridiculous. I shaved straight off the Nani 12k without stropping and had one of the best shaves I've had in a while. After a little CrOx and CeOx, the Wapi is easily in my top three right now.

I'm in a pickle though... I hate the weight of the scales, but don't want to mess with history.

I knew there was a reason why no one was responding

And here's the spine. It almost seems out of place on a Wapi. That's why I'm leaning towards some elegant scales... Decisions, decisions...

Glad you like the razor. Those are the original scales if that makes any difference to you.

I have several, but have never seen one with a decorated spine. I hate the original scales too, the ones that I don't use have the original scales. The one I use has wood scales. If I had a cord for my camera I could join the picture show. They are great shavers!

I should get mine in tomorrow.

I love the idea of wooden scales. Where does one obtain them
