Expensive vintage razors
I would like to know what you would do with a expensive "vintage" razor that you put some serious cash into. I know some people are collectors and would display them but as for me I would have to use it for it's intended purpose. I wont wear it out and it should last a lifetime or longer, I cant see myself putting it under glass just to admire. I would get much more satisfaction using it. If it was the last of it's kind that would be a different story.
The value and interest of life is not so much to do conspicuous things.........as to do ordinary things with the perception of their enormous value.

Well I would think most of the members of the SRP are users first and collectors second, so personally I would use it I don't have any razors on display, but strangely enough my Wife finds my razors very interesting and she's always telling me you should have them on display, but I've always declined her offer.

I display a few of my razors in a glass cabinet.
All of the razors in that cabinet is part of my rotation though.Bjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

Thanked: 1371I do it like Birnando.
I have a few that I display, but I also use them.
There's no reason you can't do both.

Thanked: 485I don't display anything in my home; I like vintage stuff but look to find vintage stuff I can use. I'd use the razor, it'll last for another lifetime with care...
Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?
