Default Can anyone identify this razor?

Hello everyone. I'm looking to pick up my first straight razor, and I may have found a good deal on one. Before I buy though, I want to know what I'm getting, and was wondering if anyone recognized this one.

It is a Kriegar, I hear they are nice letter openers.

    you are welcome.
We have a wiki that has a ton of information about SR shaving.
Here is a link to a list of brands that do not provide enough quality to be worth the purchase.

Wow. Someone actually named a razor "Sanguine?" That's a rather unfortunate choice(or - considering the list it's on - unintentionally accurate)

When you go to purchase your first 'real' straight, check out the Classifieds!!!

I also have a source from a friend who is highly regarded here and he usually has some very nice beginners razors that will arrive shave ready and trust me, his edges are always spot on!!

PM me if you want more info!!

At all costs, stay the Hell away from FleaBay!!!!

You will also need a strop, again PM me and I'll send you a link to where to buy one here in the USA for under $40 delivered!
Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.

Mainaman is right. They are good for opening mail or cutting your steak. Not a good shave. Extremely heavy.

I wouldn't insult a good steak by using a Kreiger on it. You don't want to haunted by the ghost of a steer.
