Default New member question: Kinfolks Inc. Razor

Hi all, new member to the boards and new to the world of straight razors. I'm hoping you guys might be able to help me out. I recently acquired this razor from my grandfather who got it from a good friend of his. It was given to me in a box labelled Kinfolks Inc, however the actual razor has no markings on it whatsoever and I'm trying to figure out what exactly I have here.

I'm also looking for recommendations on where to go for honing and cleaning it.

I can provide additional pictures if anyone needs them. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to SRP. It is not at all unusual to find a razor mismatched to a case. You'll probably never know who made it. Most reputable outfits proudly display their name on the tang of the razor. Doesn't mean it isn't worth getting honed up and trying it. It may be a very good shaver. Since you are new at straight razor shaving, I assume, your best bet is to go to SRP member services here and pick a honer. When he hones and shave tests it he will be able to tell you if it is a 'good' razor or not.
