Thread: NOS Wonderedge just arrived

preface before i ask: I'm an "open the damn toy and play it" guy.
This NOS is pristine. I'm on the fence about using it. I want to so bad tomorrow I
can taste the metal.

Stupid question of the day:
Should I give in to my carnal desires and use this toy the way it was meant to be used?

I am for form and function that is just the kind of guy I am.
I shoot my civil war era toys, albeit not as much as the more modern toys.
I don't own any thing I cannot / do not use.
Some collect for collecting I do not but this is only my two pence.

I hear ya.
In the last two years we've gotten rid of everything that is dead weight.
This is my new hobby to go with a life long love of flyfishing.

I wonder if you might be afraid of losing the magic? At the end of the day (er, shave), you will have used a straight razor to shave as men have done for a few hundred years. The razor will most likely do what other razors do and each stroke won't be preceded with a shout, 'I'm using a NOS Wonderedge!' Don't use it! Don't display it! Flaunt it. 'I have a NOS Wonderedge and you don't.' Then look at it and start talking to it, 'NOS Wonderedge....we can do whatever we want, you and me.'
