I have seen "Made in USA, not Germany" on some other Blue Points, I think! In the same format! Case did whatever!
Made in where ever is popular by whom ever is popular!

For those of us old enough there was definitely anti German and Japanese sentiment in the 1950s. I was young kid but I can remember it. Even in the comic books of the time. I bought some shirts from LLBean not long ago. The catalog said they were imported. Got 'em and saw "made in Vietnam" on the label. To young folks today Vietnam may as well have been the Peloponnesian war I guess. Not that I have any grudges but 58,000 American KIA ........... sometimes we would be better off taking George Washington's advice and staying out of 'foreign entanglements.'

Also American Razors manufacturers in early 1900's did not like the fact that german razor were sold for half of what American could produce.

I have a Kinfolks "Real Red Point" that has the same tang stamp as yours, but says "Real Red Point" where your's says "Blue Point". Seems like there was another old thread about these, but I can't seem to locate it now.

At some point, perhaps in the 30s, were imports from Germany embargoed or did Germany stop selling stuff to the US? Just wondering if vintage German razors made for the American market would necessarily have been manufactured prior to a particular date? (I have one that I'm curious about.)

Yea, speaking about grudges and entanglements I seem to recall back when I was in the Army in the Ninth Legion and those Scots really kicked our butts though they called themselves Pics back then. You couldn't import anything from that area of the world, folks just wouldn't buy it. Then our Boss Hadrian had to go build that wall. But that's another story.
