Default Fromm - is this any good?

Is this any kind of a deal? What do you guys know about Fromm? I know that in theory the quality should be good b/c it is made in Solingen.

I don't know about Fromm but ... is this going to be your first razor? If so, I might recommend you look at some of our SRP vendors because they sell razors that are shave-ready.

Most razors aren't shave-ready out of the box and I would presume this holds true re:Fromm

I have two Fromm #72 razors. They are no frills but good quality and the sale price at Bowman is pretty good as well. They'll need to be honed as they're not shave ready, though. The one at that website has three pin scales; I'm tempted. Yes, I'm tempted.

Another thing to consider: Fromm no longer offers these razors. They stopped having them made sometime last year.
