Heracles, anybody knows it?
I got a call from a gentleman today asking me if I want a razor he bought 40 yrs ago in Italy.. aside to my apparent answer and me riding my bicycle for 10 km in pouring rain to reach his house (and than back the same
), he gave me a 6/8, pretty rusty with a big chip at the end of the blade, there is only 1 word on a tang "Heracles", please see the pics below.. I Googled etc it but found nothing about it.
I was planning on shortening it due to the chip, any suggestions here?
thanx

Hard to tell from that picture however first task is see how deep the rust goes. if you shorten it you'll have a pretty small razor.

alhough it's pretty rusty I think I will be able to clean it, and thanks for the shorty version conformation, I had the same idea..
edit: anyone heard of the Heracles manufacturer?

Thanked: 10You could round it off and that way you could keep the notch.

Thanked: 481That chip is a little far back to keep the notch. Certainly you COULD, but I dont think it would be as aesthetically pleasing.
I look at it and my first thought is "Round Point"
