    Default Thiers-Issard or Wacker

Besides orienting on a vintage, still exploring new straight razors as an option. I'll maybe buy a new one in a couple of months.

What would you prefer and why?

Two very different razors there, both would serve you well. Get them both so you can decide which you like better. Then lay down the one you didn't like for 30 days and then pick it up...you will wonder why you put it down. Variety is nice and neither is the "better" razor, it just comes down to preference. What really matters is the edge that is put on them, the same razor can feel very different just by the difference in the honer...

I'm in 100% agreement with shooter!!! You will find that 99.9% of Everything about Buying, Using and Maintaining a straight razor is 'Personal Preference'!!

When I started I 'Preferred' Round Points, now it doesn't matter as I can use either just as well!

Enjoy the ride! It's a whole new/old better way of life!!!

I would probably go for the Wacker first (of course getting the TI soon after) and giving that one the nod because he's not one of the big guys and you pretty much can always get a TI somewhere.

    They're three good brands !

    Phrank and Pleegkoos like this.

They are all very good Razor.

I have Wacker,Aust and TI Razor.

In your place I would choose Aust.
He delivers the best total package and also the sharpness of razor agrees with him.
