Some great ideas above but lets face the facts, you will never get it off and with your obvious disdain for the etching, well I think it would be best it you sent it to me......
Seriously 2000 or 3000 and a bit of time should do it, I would not be afraid to drop to 1000 grit if needed just use light pressure and go.
Have at it I look forward to the finished piece. It is just Whisker Whacking
Relax and Enjoy!

I like some etchings, just not store branded ones. But nothing beats a mirror polished blade. It just seems smoother to me. Prob just in my mind though. I like the spine on the top one too.

Obie, I think what you have is an extremely rare misprint in the etching, I believe it should say. "Evide Sonnant Extra Garish"
I would leave it as is, don't want to affect the value of such a rare piece.

Hello Paul,
Thank you for your kind offer. It's something to keep in mind. I am still debating what to do with the razor, keep it as is, have the clutter removed from the blade, or just sell it. It's like a car that's bloody ugly, but, boy, does it soar on the highway.

Thanked: 1184Yeah the other thing to think about ..is if you take the etch off does it void the guarantee ?
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.
