Thread: What makes these two Henckels so valuable?

I just bought a MIB Henckels for $66.00 and thought that I got a good deal.

Then when I saw the price that these went for I thought that either I bought junk of I really got a great deal!

Your razor looks very nice. I happen to love Henckel razors so 66 clams seems to be an ok price with me... especially if the razor you bought is in as good of shape as the pics lead to believe.

You can rest easy knowing that you out bid Altima55 on your Henckels, I'm sure he would not have been bidding unless he thought it was worth it.

I think you did very well on the one you bought, the price on the other two seems surprisingly high to me even in light of the paperwork included.

This is true in general. However, everybody can make a mistake (not speaking about the particular razor in this thread)

And when you shave with it you will know it was worth every penny. Mparker gave me one (for my birthday) and it is now by far my favorite go to razor for that really close shave.

Yeah, but great shaving qualities aren't enough to make a razor valuable. Some of my best razors were less than $40 on ebay. My guess is it's because they're NOS and have papers, and more than one guy really wanted them. And it's two razors, so it was only about $115 apiece. Still a bit much, but easily within the normal ebay variability.
