I would probably buy it if i couldn't find any "major problems" with the unit.
It would be nice if you could get a few close up pictures,...what is the name inscribed?
Then as previously mentioned ask for a better price, never huts to ask.....S.L.A.M.,.......SHAVE LIKE A MAN!!!
Not like a G.I.R.L. (Gentleman In Razor Limbo)

I think your talking about a square point. You will most likely cut yourself more with a square point. A round point (like the one pictured above) will do just fine in most any case and you won't have to worry about cutting yourself as much as you would with a square. The one in the picture above though looks fine. How much is it going for? Like everyone else said all it needs is some cleaning and honing. I wouldn't even clean it up that much, maybe just enough to see if it has pitting on the blade and if not then I would hone it up. I suggest as a beginner that you send it out to one of the guys here in member services. Good Luck and Happy shaving.

Well like I said look up in the member services and pick your poison. You could also try to pick some one who lives near you and maybe meet up with them too and that way you will save money on shipping and handling but they will most likely give you some tips and teach you a thing or two. As far as what it would cost is up to you and the condition of the razor. If it is as I suspect and has little to no pitting especially on the blade and all you want is for it to be honed then I would say about 20 bucks is the average price for honing. If you want it shiny and like new well then that is up to the person doing the restoration to give you a price.
