Default Large Geneva Cutlery Razor? 18/16

I've seen a few Geneva Cutlery straight razors before but never one of this size. The shape at the end of the blade also looks as if it was taken in in order to remedy a chip. Any one with any information please respond.

    Is the back side flat?

It looks to me like a microtome. Gotta agree though, it does look like the point was ground around a big chip.
