    Default Please Help

    Hello Everyone,
Im hoping someone out there can be some help. Im looking to purchase a nice straight razor. Its for a good friend of mine. He owns his own barber shop. I would like to get something either antique or new. Something with a nice intricate handle or something unique. Ive looked all over the internet with no luck. If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance for any help.

    Mike,

There are a number of new and used (ie, antique) razors for sale in the Classifieds area of the main site and in our For Sale forum. You don't mantion how much you want to spend, but they will range from as low as $35-40 for a plain handle semi-restored antique to $500 or more for something exquisite. There's also a Links section on the main site and a vendor list in the user gallery as well as additional razors for sale. If you want to disclose a little more about what your looking for or describe what questions you have, post and I'm sure the members here will give you all the help you need.

If you can wait a little over a week, I think I should have some nice rescaled 5/8 genco's ready by then. Alternatively you can peruse around the buy/sell/trad forum, I'm pretty sure there's still some nice stuff in there for sale.

I´ve seen some of Jason´s (Toxik´s) work and it´s amazing. The Gencos will be worth the wait.

    Mike,

It would help a lot if you could tell us a little more about what you had in mind regarding "intricate" and/or "unique".

    Smile Welcome, Mike

You've come to the right place. Jason just did up a copuple of razors for me and the Rosewood scales in particular came out very sweetly. There are lots of great restorations showing up around here these days. Check out the User Gallery to get some ideas of what people are using.
