Thread: bismarck case Cathedral razor Peacock Newcastle need help with info on razor

Hi , Im a total newbie to this straight razor world. I just inherited a razor from an Italian grandfather who was a career barber.

I tried a few searches on Cathedral razor and peacock newcastle but could not find much. Box says Bismarck. Any one have an idea as to the maker, age, rarity, value (he was cheap so I doubt it is much)?
I hope to use it myself.

i doubt box is original.

will off been manufactured in sheffield but Peacock would have been a shop in my hometown

it looks like st nicholas cathedral here as well but that might just be wishful thinking

Bismarck was a Solingen manufacturer. The box isn't original. That doesn't mean much though, they don't shave well. (boxes)

The razor looks like it will clean up nicely. Have that broken ivory scale repaired and get it honed.
