I expect it would be a logistical nightmare to send a couple of razors over to get honed and sent back.
It would certainly complicate things, but there's no need. There are plenty of guys honing razors in the UK.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

I did find one guy which looked quite good, but after a clean, polish, hone, and new pins (I don't know if they NEED them but I thought, why not?) it amounts to roughly the same as my new Dovo cost me.
They are a nice piece of history though, I especially like the Solingen, despite the wonky blade, so I will more than likely end up with them being done at some point, by someone.

I've added my location to my profile now. I thought I'd already done it but using the Tapatalk app you don't get that information.

Would anybody be able to shed any light on the possible origin of the non Solingen blade and maybe an estimated age of both of them?

    Thanks in advance.

Why would you do that? Do you need to make less money, or something?

I would do that because I feel suffocated in the UK.
I can't camp where I want to, I can't have the firearms I want to. I can't buy the things I want to without a lot of messing about getting things imported.

There is nothing good left in the UK for me apart from my family.
