The term "better" is relative. Better than what...a gold dollar, or a wade and butcher

I have, yes - Revisor and Thiers-Issard modern razors, and a bunch of vintage blades.

The Titan doesn't feel as "refined" as something like the Revisors or my Filarmonica, for example, if that makes sense (don't really know how better to describe it). I'd say on my whiskers it feels a bit like an old wedge, and it's effective in a similar "whisker-mowing" kind of way.

One thing I don't know yet is how long it keeps an edge.

I ordered one of the Titans just to see what it's like don't have it yet. FYI my addiction is not limited to cheap razors. It's just that I don't feel bad if I ruin one learning to hone.

Just for clarification, before I start moving posts.... Hint Hint

The problem with the GD razors on SRP comes from exactly what we are seeing develop in this thread, they are inconsistent therefore the back and forth begins with "They are great shavers and you can learn stuff on them" -vs- "Better then half of them have serious issues that require that honing must start with a Dremel"

Therefore after countless debates hashing over the exact same argument all the GD debates have been moved to this thread

It started in 2008 it has 5 + years of the same statements over and over and over so please stop saying the same things here in this thread.

    Thank You

When it comes to modern razors, most are made by companies that have been doing it a long time. Anything else, excluding Hart and custom builders, are pretty much not good.

I think it bears repeating that vintage razors are excellent, modern razors from vintage companies are good.

If a given razor is less than good, then what is it?

As you can see the GD posts have been moved to the GD thread there are now 795 posts in that thread, it has every single statement and answer that you can possibly want to know about GD razors in there..

Have fun discussing the Titan in this thread, if you have questions about GD's there are 795 posts in just one thread to answer your questions
There are also multiple threads about how to fix the issues that people encounter, and there are several threads of customized ones on here too..

    Thanks
