    Sorry but I am just not seeing what point you are after here

    As I just finished honing a sweet new Dovo Blackstar with a nice gentle smile many of the new TI's have a nice smile to them also

    Again you have to define "smile" perhaps you could look at the pic above and say whether that is a smiling razor to you, then look at the #14 thread and say if any of those qualify as a smile...

    I guess, I would normally call the VOOGD a smiling razor but I'm interested in full hollows with smiles more along these lines:

    Ok, yes those were made with that much smile and way more in Hollow grinds, and some well into the 1900's by some of the American companies..

    My opinion is that they were never really all that popular in any grind mostly because they are difficult for the average user to hone .. They shave very well in any grind if they are honed correctly.. There is a thread on here with tons of pics but dang if I can remember where, IIRC Phlidelph started it many years ago

    i have notice that many NOS razors around 7/8 8/8 extra hollows has a slight belly. my SSA,Bartmann and kropp (all 7/8,15/16) got a belly.
