    Default What a Beauty!

When I saw this razor I had to have it, the blade itself is just awsome! At least I think so..Name: sr1.jpg

On hoarders they were going through some stuff and the things the lady couldn't bear to let go went into the "keep pile" That razor goes in the keep pile.

One time, in band camp, I shaved with a Gold Dollar razor.

Nice find! Hone it and you will have nice shaving and long lasting edge.
Around the turn of the century there were quite a few of the big names selling that style blade. The "reminder" tooth to prevent injury on the heel of the blade was a common feature for some of the makers. I have samples from W&B, Wostenholm, Torrey, and others that used the same design.
I have often wondered whether there was one Swedish maker and the blades were then stamped with the retailers' name.
    Congratulations!

That is a 'Robeson Cutlery Co.'....This can be dated from 1896-1922. I have one that I am restoring right now...

    They are wonderful shavers.
