    Default Barbers notch

Does a barbers notch have a functional purpose besides just looking awesome?

I seem to remember one barber in the late 50s who opened his razor by pulling the blade open with his index finger in the notch.

Actually if you put the razor a piece of wax paper and a comb together you have a home made kazoo. The barbers notch created the key of G. Most razors are tuned to C except of course DD's

It is not actually called a Barber's Notch at least not anywhere we have been able to find in the old advertising,,, At this point in time....

It is normally called either a Hollow Point or Hollow Notch..

There are tons of "Uses" that have been alleged to be it's purpose, but again not one has been proved,,, At this point in time...

That is what we know so far, everything else is Myth and Legend

I find them very useful in working around my mustache adjacent to and below my nostrils. Kind of a Clark Gable style 'stache ......... young folks may have to google his name for a picture of what I'm referring to.

With all that we don't know for sure about it , this is what I believe it's for myself. It's the only thing that makes any sense.
