Is it ok to like ugly razors? I have a college buddy near me that restores razors and I have been meaning to pick up one them because his clients really like his work. The biggest problem being that the ones he has produce were restored to well in my opinion. They either looked to pretty of sterile for my liking. That is until he posted a Wilbert cutlery that was listed as a good shaver but in poor condition. I knew this is my razor from the moment I saw it. I am normally not excited by tang covers or ornate scales, but the mix of these with the pitted steel really appealed to me. I see posts about pretty razors all day so it has me a bit self conscious about my new girl. I will posts some pictures later but for now to make me feel better maybe some of you can post some ugly razors you love.
