Jody,
let me express my appreciation for the whole thread and for the generous and kind words you wrote about me. I hope I did a good job in translating and let you and Mastro Livi have a useful conversation during the two days we were at his workshop.
By looking at the pictures you published, it made me remember about the two great days we had together at Mastro Livi workshop as well as the restaurants enjoying Italian food and wines. It has been a wonderful experience for me as well. In a way - and, please, don't take offense for this - I feel the shaving set you ordered for your 40th birthday quite special to me, not only because I watched the whole making process, but also because I assisted, like to say, the genesis of those beautiful items.
Moreover, it has been a honor and privilege to know you spent your 40th birthday in Italy and that you allowed me to be part of the celebration for your special day. I will certainly treasure all that in my heart, also for the fact now I have a new friend living in London sharing my very passion for straight razors. I sincerely hope there will be new chances in future to meet again, either in Italy or in England, making sure to carry with us razors, brushes and strops!
I do agree with you: I too wholeheartedly recommend any straight razor lover visit Mastro Livi workshop. You and I - as well as other gentlemen in this forum - know it is a remarkable experience to see such a great and unique artist at work, including enjoying his cheerful character, wisdom and genuine hospitality.
Enjoy your new razors, Jody: I know they are very special to you and you know they are special to me as well. The RazorGuy - StraightRazorChannel on Youtube and Google+

Of course it is possible! Mastro Livi would be very happy to welcome you to his workshop and, if you want, I will be happy to help you with the language, in case you need that. It is a honor for me to help any straight razor lover who want to have a Mastro Livi razor. It is a remarkable and wonderful experience for sure. In particular for the huge amount of knowledge you can get from Mastro Livi during all the making process. He is always willing to explain and to have others understand what he does. Also interesting, the private "lesson" Mastro Livi gives his clients at the end of the making and before giving them their razor. Like I wrote in my thread about "My Mastro Livi experience", it is a wonderful life experience!
Let me know in case you are planning to come to Perugia and to visit Mastro Livi workshop. It will be a pleasure to help you.The RazorGuy - StraightRazorChannel on Youtube and Google+

I guess it may be useful to you to know Perugia is just one hour and a half from Florence and, trust me, it definitely is worth that time. It would be a great chance to meet the great Mastro Livi in flesh as well as taking a look at his gorgeous display of straight razors and knives. Maybe this will help your heart not to get broken!
