Lack of information on razors made in Belgium?
I have searched google and forums for information on razors made in Belgium and have found minimal amounts of info. Is there information in any books that someone may have that has some info on belgian razor manufacturers.
Was there a lack of registration or recording in Belgium or were the records possibly destroyed?
Are there not that many razors around or are they just a bit rare?
I just acquired a razor with the name G. Nelis, Gembloux. It has a hallmark which is a heart with three + signs in the center of the heart. The estate sale it came from had about 12 razors and had a some war memorabilia and collectibles. This is the reason for my inquiry.

I had a Rene De Bruyne stamped in Brussels. It's the only one I've come across.

Well that is a little more info. Thank you Walt. I am getting the impression that most were German imports for sale in Belgium. It it similar to the french stamped razor I have in regards to weight and shape.
I guess I need tho put this to the stones and see how it shaves.
