Default Please recommend your favorite vintage J.A. Henckels shaver

I collect and use all American made razors with the
exception of vintage J.A. Henckels blades. To tell the truth I only have one and it's so pretty that I'd rather not use it. Now I'm looking for a Henckels shaver and need some guidance from the experts. I'm leaning towards a heavy blade like the #14.

I had a real nice 7/8 Friodur a few years back but sold it. Here is my one and only remaining Henckles, a high carbon # 14 from 'back in the day.' It is an 8/8 and a full hollow. A real beauty and definitely a 'singing' blade. How about them Twins !

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

    I don't need a Henckels! I don't need a Henckels! I don't need a Henckels! I don't need a Henckels! I don't need a Henckels! I don't need a Henckels!

I want a Henckels! The bay just keeps putting them in front of me. It's only a matter of time...

Here are my two Friodurs and an older carbon. All of them take exceptional edges and shave really well. But the Friodurs require almost no maintenance. They hold their edge a very long time.

    Wow. Very nice all.

OCDshaver, I appreciate you comments regarding the "longevity" of the edge.

Puttin' a Friodurs or two on my list.
