Thread: Help I'm am totally addicted

I've been into straight razor shaving for about 4 months now. My shaving and honing techniques are getting good. Now I can't stop buying straight razors is there an RAD support group for this somewhere. I've got 12 now. Does this addiction go away after a while? I'm also looking at more hones as if my Naniwa's are not enough.

As long as it doesn't affect your finances its great. I know I have 70 and am always looking for more. I went through and am still going through the had. But if you think about it this hobby retains some value. You may not get it all back, but the hones and blades are worth something. Cheaper than my old habit of cigars and 18 yo scotch. And more interesting IMO. Enjoy the ride.

There are recovery groups for RAD sufferers. I went to one once, but all the members had beards, and it freaked me out so I quit.

There is only one cure.

Hahaha, asking members of SRP for help with RAD is like going into a bar and asking for help with alcoholism.

Theres some nice razors and hones for sale in the classifieds....I mean don't go to the classifieds.

But I just need to remember how much cheaper this method of shaving is compared to all those disposable razors I bought previously . 😜
Now between my DE and straight razor stash I won't need to worry about shaving equipment and supplies for the next 600 years or so.

The RAD support group is not a member for this forum
