By the way, does anyone know if Puma would have actually used a set of C-MON scales for this razor. The pins look original

a set of c-mon scales shouldn't be hard to find a new home for. If you aren't keeping them put them in the classifieds. Maybe you can trade them for something you need or want.

Both are very nice finds. If your Puma 16 shaves anything like mine you will be more than happy with it. I put an ad in the Wanted to buy or trade section of the classified here for a set of original Puma scales but no bites so had new horn replicas made and the inlay transferred from the broken originals. Those Puma 18s don't show up too often and generally not in as nice a condition as your blade.

Yeah I cannot wait to get off work today and hone it. +1 on the horn scales with transferred inlays. I think I remember reading the thread you posted about them. I have had very good luck in making my own horn scales, I love working with the material. The only problem is finding the inlays. I doubt I will be able to acquire JUST the inlays so I might as well look for some original scales. Regardless of the non matching scales, to your point, these don't show up too often so I had to grab it.

First shave with the Puma this morning, and I must say, now I know what all the hype is about. They are definitely one of the top razor manufacturers in my book.

I am also really liking the french point, helps me get in those nooks and crannies. That coupled with the 8/8 size means I can go all day without having to rinse
