Thanked: 13249Roy there is a tutorial on how to do Resin Molded Scales on here,,, in fact IIRC the scales were the same pattern as yours or very close
Try running some searches for Resin Scales I will try and find it for you too

Thanked: 1185My plastic place has the good stuff. Clear Polyester Casting Resins Do It Yourself Embedments There are others and I have not used this. I forgot I did do some plastic casting but it was pvc's and urathane s. Proto type casting. Almost bought an injection molding machine.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

cudarunner, if i had not just gotten busy at work i would take the project on for you, sorry. There is some great advice that has been given here and i bet you will find it is not to hard to get started.
