Actually, what he said makes perfect sense. He got a straight and a DE. He has never used a DE before. The straight is in good shape with just a little bit of rust on the spine near the toe. He is waiting to receive his chosera before he hones it.
It's a decent looking blade from what I can see, but your pics are tiny so I can't tell much. I'm no expert on identifying straights anyway.
You'll probably get a better response if you can post better pictures.

Yeah tried that. I'm using tapatalk and it's refusing to work properly. Probably on my end but so far I can only see the thumbnails.

Thanked: 1184I couldn't see the makers marks on the tang ? The etch is cool and intact. Celebrity special I believe the blade to read. Just used the Google translator.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Sorry about the small pics, I grabbed the wrong code in imageshack. I'll see how it hones up and shaves...worst case scenario I'll sell it back The tang stamp just says 'Garnatie Solingen' I like the looks and for the price, I couldn't pass it up. Thanks guys!!

The SR looks to be in decent shape from the picture you have, and as others have said should be a great shaver with a little TLC.
That DE (if that is your gold toned DE in the sequence) appears to be a Pre WWII Tech. (And I differ to the more experienced DE Gurus who will chime in shortly)
There are usually markings and codes on the bottom of the base. If you look from the end of the handle to the "underside" you should see them. And some models have nothing, some have a code that will let you date the razors production to the year and quarter.
Great finds, get the back in to service so you can enjoy them!Support Movember!
