Thread: My oldest razor is becoming a smooth shaver! :)

My oldest razor by far (I don't have a huge collection though). This pre-1891 razor with horn scales is finally turning into a very smooth shaver.

Even after sending it to SRDesigns, it wasn't quite good enough for my sensitive face. However, they did manage to make the edge evenly sharp along the "smile" which was a huge help. After that, I have periodically been stropping it on my slurried strop, my canvas strop, and pure leather. I kept doing this, as I noticed that it got better and smoother every time.

Shaved with it this morning, and it was very smooth (and very silent, due to the heavy blade). My wife complimented me on my baby-butt face
