    Default Score or not?

I know it's not recommended for a newbie to by razor on eBay and similar sites… But I saw these on tradera.com (swedish ebay) and placed a bid "just to see what happens".

RAKKNIV RAKKNIVAR E. NEISTRÖM NR 52,57 ABSOLUT NYSKICK 2 ST på Tradera.
    (hope the link works)

What do you think? Did I throw away my money or did I score?

As far as evaluations go it is against forum rules. I will not mention the currency. I am a sucker for boxed pairs of razors. The blades appeared sound as did the scales. I didn't look really close and could be off there. The biggest thing is are you happy. If you get them honed and they shave well those are the only things that really count. Pairs are great. Many great things come in pairs.

I have had a few Neiströms pass thru here for honing, and do own one myself.
Very good shavers, as most Swedish razor of that era are.

    Nice looking set,
They both look to be in good shape,
and should turn out to be fine shavers
    It is just Whisker Whacking

The seller is not a straight shaver so they don't come shave ready. Hopefully i will be able to hone them myself. If they only need a touch up that is. I dont yet have the hones necessary for setting a bevel...

Is there a collectors value to a set like this? Would it be a shame to sell one of them?

They're in good shape, but how much work is needed to get them to shave properly can't be determined from the pictures. Very good shavers though, I have a few myself.

If I were you I'd keep both, but it's up to you. I don't particularly care for ordinary looking razors in generic plastic scales, so I wouldn't consider splitting them a big issue, but a nice backup razor is not a bad thing to have.
