Default I have had this one for a while but can't find any info....

Anyone have any info on this razor? I've had it for months and its a good shaver (it has bitten me a few times ) but when I search google, all I get is an old eBay sale and worthpoint stuff. Not looking for a valuation as I don't plan on getting rid of it, just looking for info on the manufacturer and why a razor distributed in Worcester (15 min from me) would have a swastika so predominantly displayed on the scales and the tang. Thanks in advance!!

The swastika, prior to it's being hijacked by the Nazi's for their symbol, was found in use in the west as a decorative motif on buildings and goods. There is a whole explanation here Swastika - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia . The symbol on your razor could indicate "good" from the link or just be a bad joke played by the German maker if the razor was made during the Nazi era in Germany. There could be other plausible explanations too.

I see the swastika on occasion at work as we have a very culturally diverse workforce. for example, there is a poster up right now with a swastika on it for Diwali (sp?) I read the link you posted and maybe it is from the brief period mentioned where it was a sign of good. Of course knowing a rough age might help Thanks for the reply and the info Bob, I knew about the Koreans and Indians using the symbol but didn't know much more than that.

Yea, knowing the age would sure help alright. Hope you are able to determine that somehow.

I just bought a razor and find myself in the same dark area when it comes to info. But check out the bolsters on mine. There are some other things on mine that match other very well know razors. Think Beau Bremmel or Reaper. Maybe they are clues, maybe not.

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.
