Size: 6.4 KBDoes anyone know anything about this "Custom" brand. I can't find anything about them other than what is on the site that sells them. They are 01 tools steel. I thought I would try an affordable fixed blade to see if I like it before jumping into something much more artistic and expensive like a Lewis.

    Thanks in advance

I know nothing about these particular razors, but the site that comes up when googling "DJH Razors" is well know to many members here. You can use the search function at the top-right of the page to find threads that discuss that and associated sites.

As for the razor itself, since you mentioned an 'affordable' blade, I'm assuming that you are referring to the one currently listed at $199. In my opinion the blade pictured there would be very, very poorly balanced. It does not look like a kamisori (i.e. a blade intended and designed to be a fixed-blade style) but rather like a traditional western blade without the scales.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

And the bevel looks a little wavy ? or is it just the photo. Maybe why it is discounted. In my opinion it need a longer tang or some scales.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.
