He is the owner of the trademark i believed from different sources, the Holeka razors comes up often as a 7 day set and especially as "Souvenir of Germany".

That said if your asking about quality, yes definately a high quality Solingen razor.

Thanks for your help and info!

Mine has no Paul Klarenback stamp.

Picked it up at a yard sale with two other razors, a George Ibbertson, "Firth Steel", a Boker, "King Cutter", and this Holeka 50. It's obviously been re-scaled, but when I had it honed and had a shave with it, I was absolutely blown away - 3 razors for $40 Cdn, and get this wonderful blade. Here is a crappy pic of the three blades, the Holeka 50 is in the middle:

Better shot of tang stamp. Should mention that I picked these 3 razors up about 6 months ago, and always liked the Holeka, saw another post here about a #70 so it got my curiosity up again as I've never really been able to find anything out about it.

Sorry I can't help with any information at the moment Phrank.
I could however write "The Chronicles of Phrank's Found Razors" if you were to send them to me
This would of course allow for an objective review first hand,
and of course being able to interview them first face is critical to the validity of the saga.

I agree, and a comparison would be the scientific thing to do!

You send me your 5 favorite blades, ranging in size and grind, and I'll pay the postage both ways and send you my 3 razors pictured? Say, we'll take 10 years to do a thorough examination and comparison before we jointly publish our findings?

    You in?
